Our Holiday Shopping Lists

Take a look at the gifts we're actually wrapping up for our family and friends this Christmas!

1.The leather pouch clutch

A GIFT FOR MY SISTER: A girl can never have too many clutches! They are the perfect size to fit everything you need for a night on the town, or a wedding, or even to use as a makeup bag for your purse. Plus, adding a fun monogram will add a personal touch to a classic bag (monogramming is free when you create a Madewell Insider account). I would also include a little something special inside the bag - like a gift card to Sephora, Von Maur, or good old fashion spending money!

A GIFT FOR MY HUSBAND: If your husband loves locally crafted beers, this is the perfect gift for him!  The Omaha craft beer scene is growing rapidly with nearly a dozen breweries in the Metro area to explore. What better way to discover some of them with a 4 - 5 hour guided tour.
What’s Included?

  • A brewery tour.
  • Beer! A flight of 4, 4oz beers and a pint while at the brewery tour.
  • Transportation, including use of a gigantic cooler to store all the beer you buy along the way.

  • Snacks and water while on the bus.

I would buy two tickets, one for the hubs and one for his best-beer friend…maybe that’s you!

3. Custom Letterpress Notecards

GIFTS FOR MY GIRLFRIENDS: Design notecards for your friend! Custom notecards make a great gift because not only are they super special and personal, it’s practical - writing thank you’s and receiving thank you notes will never go out of style. Each card is hand-pressed on luxurious cotton paper with many customization options available to match your friend’s style! So fun! You’re sure to receive a handwritten note on the custom notecards you designed from your friend!

inclosedco.com | $45 for a set of 25. This includes matching envelopes!

4. FAMILY Portrait Session

A GIFT FOR MY IN-LAWS: Oh man, this is always a tough one for me. Especially when your in-laws seem to have everything they need. But do they? A great group gift idea would be a family portrait session! Do some research and budget how much each family can spend. Then contact local photographers to book a session! That will give each family time to plan accordingly for travel and outfits. Once you receive the final photos, pick a few out and have them framed for the in-laws - extra bonus points for sure.

A GIFT FOR MY BROTHER:  I usually try to find a couple of fun and unique t-shirts for my brother. I especially love to support this local, Nebraska business. The hand-drawn illustrations are perfect for an outdoorsy guy like my brother.  Plus, when you buy 3 shirts, you can take 20% off - so I usually add a T-shirt to my own collection when I order.

FOR A GROUP GIFT EXCHANGE: My go-to is a Groupon voucher. This works best if everyone in the exchange lives in the same city so you know they can use it. A Groupon for a local brewery tour or upscale restaurant is great. Just purchase the Groupon as a gift, print out the voucher and wrap it up. You get more bang for your buck when buying a Groupon, so it's perfect if you're on a budget.

3. candy + wine HOLIDAY GIFT BASKET

GIFTS FOR MY GIRLFRIENDS: A sweet gift basket with local goodies is so fun to assemble and give! My favorite local sweets to include are Sweet Minou Chocolates, Snowshoe Candy Co. Caramels, and Blue Dot Confection Lolllipops. Pair the candy with a Holiday Charmpad and a bottle of local wine from Glacial Till Vineyards. Put it all together with a note written on the Emotional Eating + Drinking card from Inclosed wishing your friends a stress-free holiday season!

4. tickets to a show

A GIFT FOR MY MOM: Since my mom doesn't live in Omaha, one of my favorite things to do when she comes to town is go to a performance. If my mom is able to come to Omaha in early December, it's fun to be able to give her a gift a little bit early and attend a show. As an added bonus, going to a Christmas themed show, pre-holiday, will really put you in a cheery holiday mood and you'll be ready to conquer your Christmas shopping list afterwards! There are multiple holiday shows happening in Omaha this year, but if you're looking for a classic, A Christmas Carol at the Omaha Community Playhouse is a long-standing tradition.

FOR MY FURRY BFF, NORA: These are the ONLY dog toys I buy! The Zogoflex toys are super durable and the bright colors make them easy to keep track of. Even their fabric toys are great. This bear is Nora's favorite thing, she carries it all over the house and even uses it as a pillow when she sleeps (no joke!).
